Social media marketing

Social media, as defined in Wikipedia, is "a group of Internet-based applications that build on the ideological and technological foundations of Web 2.0, which allows the creation and exchange of user-generated content"
   At the moment, promoting a brand or a personal profile on internet involves not only positioning on search engines but also in social media.
   In the last years, a number of social media platforms has become mainstream and are used widely. Let me mention some of them:
Each one of the above has a different technique for marketing campaigns, i.e. on twitter, number and relevance of followers is the key point while, on Facebook, it comes to number of page fans. To get the best of every platform an online marketing campaign must be professionally designed.
